Diamond & Ruby Memento Mori Silver Enamel Smoking Skull Stick Pin


This unique stick pin embodies the timeless Memento Mori theme, blending dark symbolism with fine craftsmanship, it features a white enamel skull smoking a pipe set in silver.

This 'bad-to-the-bone' character is adorned with twinkling, brilliant-cut diamond eyes, and is smoking a silver pipe which has been filled by a tiny cabochon ruby representing burning amber.

Such macabre imagery was common in Memento Mori jewellery, which literally translates as “Remember you will die”. The pieces were commonly decorated with skulls, crossbones, and coffins but the morbid themes were not a celebration of death, rather a reminder to live your life well and cherish each waking day. Full of personality, this quirky, unique piece would make a fantastic conversation starter and is in an excellent pre-loved condition!
