Vintage, 9ct Gold Bloodstone signet ring dated 1996


A handsome, mid century signet ring with an oval bloodstone plaque mounted in a collet setting with wide shoulders tapering to a strong shank. The bloodstone is a deep green colour with tiny specks of red.


The head of the ring measures 16 x 13.5mm. (the bloodstone measures 12.5x11mm)

Hallmarked: C G & S (makers initials) crown, 375 (denotes 9carat gold) anchor (Birmingham assay mark) W (date letter for 1996)

Bloodstone is a birthstone for the month of March. Also known as heliotrope, it is a deep green chalcedony and the small red dots are red jasper. It is widely used in signet rings & fobs.
