Georgian Natural 'Salmon red' Coral fichu Brooch


An exquisite Georgian natural coral fichu, lace brooch, beautifully made with 16, 3.5mm pieces of circular coral, mounted in a delicate crimped setting.  Designed as an open row of coral in an oblong shape.

The brooch is complete with a C-clasp and T-bar fitting for secure wear. 


Fichu brooches are a type of ornamental jewelry that were popular during the 18th and 19th centuries, particularly in the Georgian and Victorian eras. They were typically worn as fasteners for a fichu, which was a lightweight, square scarf or shawl worn around the neck and shoulders. The brooch would be used to secure the fichu in place, adding both functionality and decorative flair.
