SOLD - Georgian seed pearl & paste cluster earrings, Circa 1800's
Antique seed pearl and paste earrings featuring a central daisy cluster of seven paste stones mounted in a crimped setting, surrounded by a mother of pearl disc, mounted with a triple row of basra seed pearls.
Complete with rose gold shepherd hook fittings.
Originally the pearls would have been strung on to horse hair, many of the pearls in georgian jewellery are from the Pinctada radiata oyster which was found in the Persian Gulf, the Red Sea & waters around Sri Lanka.
