Neoclassicism in jewellery during the Victorian era was a response to the Classical Revival movements of the late 18th and early 19th centuries, drawing inspiration from the art, architecture, and ornamentation of Ancient Greece and Rome. This influence was seen across various artistic fields, including jewellery, where classical motifs and designs were reinterpreted to suit the tastes and sensibilities of the period.
