SOLD - Victorian 15ct gold Citrine Snake, Serpent Stickpin


A late Victorian stick pin, featuring a 10x6mm citrine mounted in a buttercup setting with a coiled snake wrapped around it. The snake is on a hinged fitting (please see images). The head of the pin measures a large 26.5 x 12.7mm and the length is 84mm

The Victorians were very sentimental and often used motifs in their jewellery designs, the snake represents eternal love.
