SOLD - Victorian 15ct Gold & Silver, Diamond and Ruby fox head brooch


A sweet antique brooch featuring a fox's head which has been adorned with twelve, charming rose-cut diamonds and two, tiny ruby cabochon eyes. Beneath the fox is a crop which has been studded with a further five, rose-cuts. All mounted onto a yellow gold safety-pin style brooch.


The fox and crop have not been polished and both show a heavy patina commensurate with age, which is often preferred in antique pieces, adding to its historic charm. It can however be polished to a shine if desired. Please note that there is a very minute diamond missing on the tip of the fox's nose. This is only noticeable when looking through a jeweller's loupe or large magnifier. All other stones are secure in their settings.
