The “rose cut” diamond dates back to the early 1500s.

The stones resemble the petals of a rose by trying to imitate the narrowing spiral of the petals; hence the name: rose cut diamond. In general, they are flat at the bottom, thus creating a larger surface area for the stone’s brilliance.

Please note that images have been enlarged to show detail. All measurements are listed in the description. All items are Antique, Vintage and/or Pre-owned and will naturally have signs of wear & tear commensurate with age.
