Circa 1840, this fabulous, late Georgian/early Victorian mourning brooch featuring a central 14.3 x 8.7mm oval, foil backed citrine mounted in a crimped setting with a black enameled surround, framed with a scalloped gold border. 

Complete with T-pin and C-clasp fitting.

The face of the brooch is in good condition considering its age, there are a few tiny dents to the back of the brooch (not visible when worn).
