SOLD - Victorian 18ct Gold, Old-mine Diamond cluster, daisy ring
An enchanting, Victorian old-mine diamond, daisy cluster ring in 18ct gold with chenier shoulders. The bezel-set diamonds are full of old-world character and charm. A warmer coloured diamond has been used to represent the centre of the daisy, which gives a wonderful dimension to the flower.
The central diamond measures 3.8mm and has an estimated carat weight of 0.20ct, the remaining six diamonds measure approx 2.7mm each and have a collective total carat weight of 0.48ct. Giving the ring a total carat weight of 0.68ct
Please note that one of the outer diamonds appears to have been replaced by a brilliant-cut, however it is not obvious when worn and doesn't distract from the old cuts (see video).
The head of the ring dates to the late 18th, early 19th century but the hallmark on the shank indicates that this part is more recent (1970s onwards). With all the charm of the antique, old-mine diamonds along with its durable, contemporary mount and shank, this ring has the best of both worlds!
