Victorian 18ct Gold, Swivel Flip Fob Pendant

This fantastic swivel fob features a bloodstone plaque on one side and a monogrammed carnelian stone on the other. Both mounted in an 18ct yellow gold bezel setting with a looped frame and bail.

The carnelian stone is a deep claret-red colour and has been engraved with the initials we believe to be DEM. The bloodstone is a dark forest-green with beautiful red splattering. Both stones measure 16.2 x 13 mm.

This antique fob is in a good condition. There are a few light scratches to the stones which are not noticeable when worn. It would make a fantastic pendant with the flat stone sides, which can be worn with either stone on display.

Bloodstone and carnelian are both gemstones with rich symbolic meanings. Bloodstone, with its deep green hue and red specks, has long been associated with strength, courage, and vitality.
