A Romantic Edwardian crescent moon brooch, crafted in rich 15ct gold and dating to circa 1901. The elegant crescent is set with sparkling old-cut diamonds and vibrant rubies, centred with a single lustrous pearl. It is mounted on a fine bar, accented with a pearl at each terminal.

In the Victorian and Edwardian eras, crescent “honeymoon” brooches symbolised new beginnings and enduring love, with diamonds representing eternal love, rubies for passion & pearls for purity.
