SOLD - 15ct Rose Gold Puffy Heart Pendant

A deeply romantic Victorian puffy heart pendant, crafted in rare 15k gold, a gold purity treasured in the 19th century and no longer used today. Jewellery made in 15k gold is increasingly scarce, and pieces such as this were often exchanged as heartfelt tokens of love, devotion, and remembrance.

The softly rounded heart has a beautiful, tactile fullness and measures 16.5 x 22.5 x 6.7 mm (including the loop), giving it a gentle yet captivating presence when worn. Its warm antique glow and time-worn character speak quietly of another era, of handwritten letters, keepsakes worn close to the heart, and love meant to last a lifetime.

15ct gold was discontinued in the UK in 1932.

It was introduced in 1854 and widely used during the Victorian and Edwardian eras. After 1932, the standard was abolished, which is why all 15ct gold jewellery is now antique and increasingly rare.
