A beautiful, turn of the century, late Victorian, early Edwardian pearl necklace, made during the Art Nouveau period. This gorgeous necklace, features a central section, designed as a flowing scroll and floral piece decorated with tiny, bright seed pearls. The pearl mounted centre piece measures 5 x 3 cm and is connected to a gold rolo link chain, complete with a barrel clasp.

Perfect for a wedding or pearl wedding anniversary!

The name Lavalier (also spelt lavalier or lavallière) derived from the name of the Duchesse de La Vallière (1644-1710), one of the mistresses of Louis XIV, who favoured this style of necklace.
