Antique, Emerald and diamond pendant with a 23 x 18mm pear shaped, cabachon Emerald mounted in an 18ct yellow gold collet setting, framed in a platinum diamond trelliswork surround. There are a total of twenty-four, old-cut diamonds mounted in a millgrain setting and an additional three smaller ones decorating the bail. The diamonds are bright and fiery with an estimated colour F, clarity VS1 and total carat weight of 3.12ct, 8 x 3.5mm diamonds (1.36ct) and 16 x 3.5mm diamonds (1.76ct)
The 'piece de resistance' is the magnificent Emerald measuring 23 x 18mm, with an estimated carat weight of 31carats.
This magnificent pendant was no doubt a commission piece, made in the Belle Epoque "beautiful age" era and is presented in its original velvet fitted box, with the interior of the lid printed:
