SOLD - Edwardian Graduated Opal & rock crystal necklace on 9ct rose gold clasp

This exquisite necklace is dated around the late Edwardian period. It features a row of graduated opal gemstone beads, alternating with faceted, rock crystal rondelle beads, strung onto a chain with a 9ct rose gold solid bolt ring clasp.
The largest opal measures 9.5mm and graduates in size down to 5mm, all in a good condition. The length of the necklace is 16.5" / 42cm, (this can be lengthened by connecting a short length of gold chain if needed - please contact us for more information)
The opal gemstones are mesmerising, they exhibit a subtle myriad of colours including green, purple & orange.
Opal is the traditional birthstone for October
