Victorian 9ct gold & garnet five stone boat ring

This beautiful, hand-crafted Victorian ring features five faceted pyrope garnets mounted in a foil backed setting. The gemstones vary slightly in colour from purple tones to red wine hues (see video) and are set in gold with a crimped claw setting. Gold pommels border each garnet at the top and bottom. The shoulders have been adorned with an engraved foliate design showing impressive attention to detail. 

The face of the ring measures 17.5mm in length and 7.3mm wide

HALLMARKS: 9ct (9 carat gold)
CONDITION: Good, though the centre garnet has a small chip (not noticeable when worn)
DATE: Victorian (1837-1901)
