SOLD - Antique 9ct rose gold, Citrine & Natural Pearl Fringe Necklace

A beautiful example of late Victorian to early Edwardian craftsmanship, this antique necklace is a delicate and refined piece that speaks to the elegance of a bygone era.

It features a fine row of natural saltwater pearls, each individually hand-drilled and strung onto thread, connected to a length of gold chain. The necklace fastens with a 9ct gold bolt ring clasp, hallmarked for authenticity.

Suspended at 1cm intervals are twenty-one graduated, faceted citrine gemstones, each connected with fine gold wire. The citrines range in size from 7x9mm to an impressive 10x14mm, their rich golden-yellow/cognac hues glowing with warm vibrance. These beautifully cut stones shimmer with every movement, capturing and scattering light in a mesmerizing display.

This enchanting necklace once might have adorned the neck of a young Edwardian lady as she glided across the ballroom floor, citrines trembling gently with each graceful step, casting golden sparks of light beneath glittering chandeliers.
