SOLD - Edwardian, Turquoise & Diamond Crescent Moon necklace


A romantic antique necklace featuring a crescent moon embellished with nine, turquoise gemstones and eighteen, twinkling rose-cut diamonds. The turquoise are a dreamy blue colour with the natural matrix visible on the back, one of the turquoise is a deeper shade which we think only adds character to the piece. This stunning piece has been converted from a brooch with the addition of a 9ct yellow gold trace link chain connected to the crescent by bails at each point.

Crescent jewellery was often gifted by a groom to his bride on their honeymoon, with the crescent representing a new chapter in their life as husband and wife!
